When they ring, people automatically answer them. It's like Pavlov and the dogs salivating at the sound of the dinner bell. The interruption means more than the live person in front of them. The opposite happens too. The phone rings and rings with no one bothering to pick it up. Maybe that's better than having the phone answered and being put on hold so long that you hang up. Reason being their training programs are second to none. That amoung other things makes them a great company. Tim Hortons CS is slipping hard in the past year or so...
