Thank You. People do not remember words. They will probably not remember your format (unless it was really stupid). People do not remember short bulleted phrases, they do not remember laundry lists of duties/responsibilities. People remember stories, even short little stories that can be told in a sentence or two. 

Paolo: Yes, the last place to send you resume is to HR. Mostly, their relationship to resumes is to screen them out. Nine out of ten times the right person to send it to can be found out with a phone call.</description>

My opinion, although extreme, is that any resume with spelling or grammatical errors should be dumped immediately.  If you cannot make the effort to submit a polished resume for a job you want, what does that say about the quality of your work in the future?  

Do not lie.  The most common &quot;exaggeration&quot; is your education, which is the easiest thing for an employer to check.  It is also not that difficult to call Liz&#039;s former employer to see if she was responsible for 90% less security breaches.

Slightly related, it is also important that your resume gets to the right person.  You may have the best qualifications, but it means nothing if the right people do not read it.  Sending it to HR usually means it will stay in HR.</description>
