He died with a positive net worth in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Most people are lucky if they pass away without debt. Personally, I'd like to preserve the wealth I'm building for future generations but hope to do most of that through gifts throughout my lifetime. With that said, if he wanted to spend ever dime he made on eBay that's his prerogative. You can't take Swiss bank accounts or eBay collectibles with you, so what's it matter whether you accumulate one over the other? I've never heard of Glenn Beck but it seems to me that if civilization does collapse, I'd want to own guns and lot of ammunition and quickly learn how to hunt and farm and defend my home.
